GETTING THERE

Explore magical places in Malta with Science in the City, this year! The festival is spread out in 2 different venues around Valletta, one venue in Bugibba and one in Senglea. Here are the addresses and directions to each venue. Also, you can find information on transport and parking.

If you would like to travel by car, consider using the”Cool Ride Pooling”app, https://cool.mt/for-riders. Fort St Elmo

St Elmo Place, Valletta

Directions: Through City Gate and straight down Republic Street for around 12 minutes. Turn right at Old Lodge Apartments on North Street.  and go straight. Turn left at Nibbia Chapel, onto Merchant Street, turn left to Fort St Elmo.

Alternative route:  Go to the bus terminal at the Triton Fountain look for the Valletta A1 bus stop. Catch bus 133 and get off at Camarata bus stop. Turn right onto Merchant Street. Walk straight till the end of the road and turn left onto Fort St Elmo.

St Dominic's Theatre | Sala San Duminku

Merchant’s Street, Valletta

Directions: Walk to city gate and straight till APS bank corner. Turn on your right hand side to Melita Street and then on your left hand side to Merchant’s Street. Keep walking straight till St Dominic Church.

Alternative route: Walk to il-Berġa ta’ Kastilja, and turn on your left hand side to Merchant’s street. Keep walking straight till St Dominic Church.

Spazju Kreattiv

Pjazza Kastilja, Valletta

Directions: Walk to city gate and keep walking straight till Royal Opera house. Turn on your right hand side to Ordinance Street. Keep walking straight. (in front of Berġa ta’ Kastilja)

Bugibba Temple

Dolmen Resort Hotel, San Pawl il-Baħar, Malta

Directions: Take several buses to Gzejjer bus station. Follow Dwaret-il Gzejer and turn into Dolmer. Turn left to access the main entrance of Dolmen Resort Hotel in Saint Pauls Bay. Ask for the Bugibba Temple at the reception desk. The Temple is situated in the hotel’s gardenl.

Alternative route: Catch a bus to Bugibba Bay 1-6, follow Triq Ghawdex turn right into Tourist Street. Turn right again into Triq Il-Merluzz. Access the main entrance of Dolmen Resort Hotel in St Paul’s Bay. Ask for the Bugibba Temple at the reception desk. The Temple is situated in the hotel’s garden, by the pool.

Valletta Design Cluster

Bull Street Il-Belt Valletta, VLT 1570

Directions: Through City Gate and walk down Republic Street. Turn left behind the Ministry for Social Accomodation on St Christopher’s Street. Go straight until you see the Valletta Central Apartment. Turn right onto Gendus Street, you will see the Valletta Design Cluster building on your left.

Alternative route: From Valletta Ferries, go south on Boat Street toward St Mark Street. Turn left at St Mark Street and slightly right toward Triq Marsamxett. Turn right at Marsamxett onto St. Christopher’s Street and turn left at Valletta Central Apartment building onto Gendus Street. You will see the Valletta Cluster Design building on your left.
