Artist Call Now CLOSED!
In 2023, Science in the City will focus its activities on the theme of Changemakers. We would like the proposed activities to highlight the important role that science and creativity have in society. The world is facing a number of challenges that need to be addressed. Only with a modicum of scientific knowledge can the wider public be involved in the decision-making process necessary to effect change and tackle these issues. We wish to underscore the vital role scientists play in broadening our understanding of our planet and in making our societies more sustainable.Â
As always, we want to use various art forms to engage new audiences with scientific research projects, theatre, music, dance, exhibitions, standup, installations, and so on. We want to see the local communities participate in these projects not just as spectators but as stakeholders, shaping science and the arts to influence other people to do the same. We are inviting artists and researchers to influence citizens to become changemakers,Â
