On September 25th and 26th 2026, we’ll bring together science, art, and the possibilities of the future for two days of workshops, exhibitions, performances, and more. It’s all about using these three pillars to inspire creativity and drive change.

We’re looking for artists to create works that explore how science and art can help address today’s challenges all while considering research.

  • The deadline for proposal submission is by midnight on 4th January 2026

  • Applicants will be notified by 11th February 2026

  • Pitching sessions for shortlisted proposals- 16th – 20th February 2026

  • Final result will be communicated on – 27th February 2026

We received many questions on how to apply for the artist call, Here are some answers to the most common ones.
 
1) Is the deadline extended?
Yes, you now have until the 4th of Janurary, midnight to submit your application.
 
2) Do I have to work with a researcher?
Yes, we accept a wide range of scientific and academic research. Get in touch with us if you need a contact.
 
3) Does the research have to take place in Malta?

Preferably yes, or it can be relevant to Malta. This is important to make our activities engaging for the people on this Island. If the research is not being done here, we will find ways to adapt the project to suit local audiences.
