We will have two students at our stand presenting their research projects, including their aims, methodology and outcomes. Their presence will create an engaging intergenerational space for discussion, knowledge exchange and curiosity about research, welcoming visitors from young students (around 17) to older generations (60+).
So far, we have received information on one project:
Project Odyssey is an educational alternate reality game that transforms the library into a space for mystery, investigation and discovery. Visitors become researchers, following clues through fictional case files, artefacts and digital sources. At Science in the City, participants will take part in an investigative challenge designed to spark curiosity, collaboration and playful learning.
We are awaiting information on the second student’s project.
Eco-Lens Stories – What does sustainability look and sound like where we live?
Eco-Lens Stories explores coastal sustainability through photography, real-life stories and podcasts, connecting perspectives from Malta, Kiel and Naples. The project highlights environmental challenges such as waste and coastal pressures, while showcasing local initiatives and everyday actions that contribute to more sustainable communities.
At Science in the City, visitors will discover selected visual and audio stories and explore how sustainability relates to their daily lives. The showcase will also highlight seagrass, its role in supporting marine biodiversity and healthy coastal ecosystems, and why protecting this often-overlooked habitat matters.
