“Step into a hands-on design and making experience with SPARKD. This interactive activity invites children, young people, families, and curious visitors to explore design through play, building, testing, and experimentation.
Visitors will be able to engage with quick walk-up activities inspired by design and technology, from simple mechanisms and build challenges to playful testing stations and prompts that ask us to rethink everyday objects. The activity is designed for a street-festival setting, allowing people to stop by, try something, ask questions, and experience the design process in an accessible and creative way.
Through the theme Research, Resist, Reimagine, SPARKD encourages visitors to think like designers: observe how things work, question how they could be improved, build possible solutions, test them, and keep improving. It is a playful introduction to design thinking, making, and creative problem-solving.”
