Transport is what gets us to our destination, near or far. Curious about the creative science and engineering that will solve the problems of tomorrow? Come along to our transport area
Here you will find University of Malta racing, a Formula 1 Student team challenged with the task of designing and building a formula style race car from scratch, competing against other universities at international competitions called Formula Student or FSAE. We will also host the University Engineering Students Association, who will showcase several diverse demonstrations ranging from materials science and electronics to structural and mechanical engineering.
At the Transport Malta stand you can experiment with virtual reality and find out about how mobility can provide a gateway to STEM careers, or chat with Malta’s Technical Design and Technology students about what it takes to become a young designer while making your own souvenir in a hands-on demonstration.
Finally, test your problem solving skills with challenges set by the Department of Mathematics. Now is your chance to try your hand at being a town planner and see if you can beat the traffic. Let our researchers show you how maths and statistics can be used in inventive ways to solve our transport problems.
