Non-thermal Technologies for Food Processing; Are they really safe?

Researchers Dr.Georgios Psakis and Dr. Foteini Pavli from the Department of Food Sciences & Nutrition at the University of Malta discuss emerging topics in the field of food disinfection & processing following the use of non-thermal processes (alternatives to thermal pasteurisation). The research forms the core of the TRANSIT project (Training Network for Sustainable Technologies) which is supported by Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Actions.
