Film Manchester by the sea followed by Matthew Paris, the guest speaker that will be leading the discussion that occurs after the film. The speaker will speak about mental Illness – depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicide, themes that are connected to the movie. The movie Manchester by the sea shows us a character whichs grief seems endless, he also faces an unexpected twist in his life. Suddenly the character is made a guardian to the son of his deceased brother, for which he is reluctant to commit to. From his sad bubble the character has to move to his home town, but the grief chases him wherever he goes. The movie does not show the healing, but the long path of grief that also can happen to alot of people, that just can’t get over some thing that happened to them in life.
