2022 Programme
Science in the City 2022

Pre-Festival Event

Can You "Hack" the System?

Organisation: Trust Stamp Malta Ltd

Type of event:  Workshop

Age Suitability:  15 – 18

Location:  Valletta Design Cluster (VDC)

Date:  30th August, 6th September and 13th September

Time:  10.00am

Trust Stamp Malta Limited and Science in the City are challenging creative participants to “hack” their facial recognition system.
How?
Create a mask with the mentorship of Artist Liliana Fleri Soler and Trust Stamp’s very own Artificial Intelligence Engineer, Luke Camilleri. You will receive the opportunity to be part of a workshop to build creative skills relating to the challenge, as well as have your final creation exhibited at the Science in the City Festival.
When?
Workshops start at the end of August. Masks will be exhibited at the Science in the City Festival on the 24th and 25th September.
Why?
By researching how fraudsters try to impersonate other individuals, we can better train artificial intelligence (AI) models to prevent that fraud from happening and protect the public!
