Join the out-of-this-world experience at MEUSAC building, as we explore all things space, stars and black holes
Look to the stars at MEUSAC this year as astronomy takes over the EU Corner! On your way to outer space, drop by some of the researcher stars from the University of Malta who are using EU funding to help build our technology for tomorrow (10A). Ask those burning questions as you are introduced to the people sporting the lab coats.
As you wander through the MEUSAC building towards the roof, take some time to hear about the EU funded work that is quite literally reaching for the skies! Catch a ride in the elevator from 8pm onwards to the roof to be greeted by the Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy (ISSA) and Kids in Orbit (10B). Experience a total solar eclipse in their portable planetarium, look through some impressive telescopes to see detail as clear as the rings that surround Saturn, and have a go creating a black hole with their interactive simulator. (This part of the event will open at 7:45pm)
