The Event

Age Suitability: All ages

Imagine lying down under a canopy of vibrantly coloured animals, geckos, hedgehogs, crabs, fish, birds… The students at the Inspire Foundation were taken on a journey of exploration to the habitats of a number of animals on the Maltese Islands. Here they learned about the beauty of Malta’s biodiversity and its different ecosystems: rock pools, garigue and coastal landscapes. They then set to work, with our artists Liliana Fleri Soler and Gabriella Agius, to sculpt, shape, glue, paint and hang these 3 topsy turvy installations.

This Creative Communities project, funded by the Malta Arts Council and the Malta Chamber of Scientists, is a first attempt to reach out to communities in our society, to share the importance of using creativity, science and the arts to be able to lead a fuller life in today’s world.
